Level I is an introduction to the general field of learning disabilities and provides foundational training in the philosophy and techniques of NILD Educational TherapyŽ. The course prepares participants to begin giving educational therapy as NILD educational therapist interns (all participants completing Level I and II are considered interns until certification).
Prerequisites
Level II provides a review of Level I NILD Educational TherapyŽ techniques and introduces additional techniques for use with more advanced students. The educational therapist is also introduced to mediated learning and the impact that interactive language can have on the learning process.
Prerequisites
Level III provides in-depth study of an information processing model and Feuerstein's Cognitive Functions as well as further developing the use of mediated learning as an integral component within NILD Educational TherapyŽ.
